I'm not sure the fine details here came quite as I hoped, but it captures the "downport" Starbase feel I was after. The converted model of the Archer class scout (for Poser and DAZ Studio) is now available as a free download: [link]

Oh, and yeah.. I COULD have added some figures. And almost probably crashed. But that said, maybe I'll do a more figurative version later.

This is totally my favorite kind of shot. I love the idea (and images) of ships exploring on the frontier and all, but there is something about seeing a ship in the context of what she serves that totally gives it meaning. I guess that's why I like docking scenes so much. It's that warm, fuzzy, "nest" feeling. :D
