I know I'd dig this image as a stand-alone (I love the palette in the art itself, and I might like to see it cropped a bit differently), but this cover, for some reason, doesn't 'sing', to me, like the previous ones.
That ST# masthead graphic can be tricky to work around. It's so large that it becomes an integral part of the composition. So... as I'd expect, some of these will work better than others. All I can do is hope that I haven't peaked
I'd look at maybe bringing the shuttle closer and breaking the frame with it, maybe even on the right and bottom, to really emphasize its distance from Enterprise; bringing the camera in a bit would also put some space between the two vehicles without actually repositioning them, and then a bit of DOF on the shuttle would further involve the viewer. Did they use a tractor beam on the shuttle (I don't recall the specifics)?
