Can't go wrong with the classics. While 2001 gets all the credit for remaining current, "Forbidden Planet" has aged remarkably well. The quality of its SF treatment was ahead of its time for media SF and it influenced Star Trek, Lost in Space (ship design), and many others that followed.


Here, the United Planets Cruiser C57-D investigates a new world with a massive ring system. Model by Kenny's Crap [link] Rendered in DAZ Studio, postworked in Photoshop.

Woot, found the FP saucer image! Nice, would be interesting to see your' take on some 50's style SF scenes. Wonder if they're are any decent Robby the Robot models floating around...
