The Giant's Court [stock] by Arcas-Art The Giant's Court [stock] by Arcas-Art
This is my first attempt at a stock background image. I ran across a really cool Cassini image, but it was low res and B&W www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cas… . So I decided to try and create my own version inspired by it, though this is obviously an attempt to be some extrasolar gas giant and not Saturn.

The gas giant is from Hellfish's super-handy planets pack. The moons are just colored primitives (oh crap, I just destroyed the illusion... ;p) and the background is my own starfield made using Frostbo's new starfield PS brush (and more).

Have fun and feel free to use this in your works commercial or non-commercial art creations. Please credit me on use and if can, please add "Caswell" in your image's search phrases. Not for redistribution as a commercial 2D product, in part or whole.

Enjoy and create!!! :D

How comes I just completed an asteroid belt that practically begs for a gas giant like that? The piece will also feature a specific Traveller starship that we already chatted about.
Good work! This will see some use I am sure.

I'd love to do something with it, but my galactic inspiration is low lately.
Maybe I can use it as a wall-art for an indoor scene? :)
It's such a lovely planet! :)

Naw, he's a vendor on Renderosity - or at least he was?! I can't seem to track him down now?
