I'd love to see it remade to a) better meet the cinematic standards of Kubrick's film, and b) to match the book, not the movie. I didn't care for how the movie plot was tweaked and it would have been so cool to see the Chinese in there.

I may be one of the only people on the planet who didn't like the original TOTAL RECALL. I think Verhoeven treats SF the same way the 60's Batman TV show treated superheroes: camp. I'm interested to see the new treatment.

Well saw the trailer - and it looks like its made for the X-Box generation. Especially the way he takes out the troops - who look a bit too Stormtrooperish for me. However, maybe your thing, give it a look.

It would be nice if the powers that be would make a sci-fi film that is not full of sexy girls, Zero-G fist fights, and KA-BOOMS! Just once.

But hey, what do I know.

I dunno. I'll give it a chance. You're spot on about the X-Boxish fight scene, but there looks to be some other cool visuals. At any rate it'll be a pretty easy for me to find this more appealing than the campy original.

Wow, how cool and lovely. Derelicts always have that mysterious, sad, creepy charm. Like old guys on park benches.

You can almost hear the creaking of the masts...or airlocks, or something.
This is iconic. Someone should use it in a movie.
