Wow, I love this Enterprise ever since I saw the clip of it on Youtube. At first I though it was Gabe's Enterprise but I found I like this one MUCH better and wish it were the 09 Enterprise.

Urk! I'm not sure that I remember.... but if I were to do it again I'd start with a bold starfield, then take it into Photoshop and apply FILTER>BLUR>RADIAL BLUR set to "zoom".
