This is a piece I did a couple of decades ago... and then some...as an illustration for GDW's MegaTraveller RPG. It pictures a space freighter, water landed and loading up new cargo as a passenger air raft approaches.

From the collection of Bryan Gibson [link] who graciously provided the scan. This is a slightly cleaned up version of the original. Ink and tone film on illustration paper, circa '88.

Thanks! I wonder if I still draw like this? It's been so long.... ;)

Always liked this design a great deal. Would love to see it in its natural habitat, i.e. out of the water and in space so we can see the full look of it.

Well it's been illustrated before, in space. I think the design first showed up in "The Traveller Adventure" book. Like so many others it was designed by Bill Keith.

Still a beauty after 20 years! Really effective image, Rob. Great example, in my opinion, of exactly the type of illustration Gamers were hungry for. Step right into this piece and let the imagination run wild!
